Built in the 1930's to cater for the gold rush, Pine Lodge
retains it’s colonial charm in a landscaped setting.
The Location
Located in the sleepy township of Bulolo, Morobe Province,
a historic “gold mining” township during the 1930’s and today the jumping off point for Aseki, home of the famous
‘Smoked Bodies’, and Wau.
Pine Lodge is situated in spacious landscaped grounds with swimming pool overlooking the township.
The Accommodation
Pine Lodge is limited to 17 rooms with private bathrooms, television, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities.
Each room is attractively furnished with queen and single beds and balconies overlooking the valleys.
The Restaurant
Our intimate a-la-carte restaurant is more like a ‘homely’ dining room with cocktail bar. Breakfasts are served
outside on the terrace patio. Room service is also available.
The Sightseeing
Pine Lodge is ideally located to enable access to Aseki which is home of the Anga people, once the most feared
tribesmen in PNG. Full day excursions can be arranged to visit the burial platforms in caves where mummified bodies
are placed overlooking the valley.
Visit the Butterfly & Insect Farm, Eddie Creek Gold Mine, McAdam Park and the Institute of Ecology in Wau. |
