MELANESIAN DISCOVERER

The Melanesian Discoverer accommodates 42 passengers in twin, lower berths and queensize beds all with private bathroom, television, telephone and music system. The vessel has a well appointed dining room, library, mid-deck and wheelhouse lounge with adequate under-cover deck space to relax between dives.

The "Melanesian Discoverer" is under Bereau Veritas Survey and crewed by qualified officers, crew and dive staff. Facilities aboard include five tenders, a helipad and helicopter (with advance arrangement), a dive shop, cocktail bar and the services of a Cruise Director.

The ship caters to divers, snorklers and non-divers on all scheduled Island Cruises which include Milne Bay, West New Britain, Madang, Manus, New Ireland and Rabaul.

Unlike smaller dive vessels, the Melanesian Discoverer provides plenty of space. You have the rare opportunity to dive in untouched waters of the many exotic remote pristine reefs, volcanic seamounts teeming with sea life, dramatic drop-offs and an assortment of brightly colored tropicals as well as pelagics.
